OASC Announced New Interim Executive Director

As current Executive Director Miles Palacios transitions away from OASC, the OASC executive board in partnership with COSA and OASSA have conducted a search for an interim leader. With this process concluded, we are excited to announce the hiring of an Interim Executive Director - please join us in welcoming Cameron Broome to this role!

Broome is an esteemed educator dedicated to fostering excellence in leadership and business education in Oregon. As an educator and working professional, he has developed many tools over his career that have proven to be instrumental in how he shapes the young minds of student leaders. Broome’s commitment to student leadership extends beyond the classroom.

He has been a pivotal figure in the Oregon Association of Student Councils (OASC) for 15 years, contributing in various capacities that highlight his dedication to youth development. His intimate knowledge of the organization’s programs, vision and mission, and partnerships make him an asset in this role. Currently serving on the adult board for the past 3 years, Broome continues to play a crucial role in shaping and fostering environments that empower student leaders across Oregon.

Driven by his passion for education and the inspiration of student leaders, Broome exemplifies unwavering dedication to cultivating excellence and shaping the future of OASC programs.

As we welcome Broome into this role, we thank Palacios for his recent years of service. OASC is excited for what this change in leadership may hold for the future. Broome will begin his role as Interim Executive Director August 1st, 2024.
