  • New advisors will receive in-depth training on all facets of advising
  • A special strand for veteran advisors will be provided.  Topics to include “Implementing Top 20 Teens” in the classroom (last year’s popular topic)

About Our Speaker

Mike Smith has been a favorite presenter in Oregon for the past 20 years. He has the ability to engage his audience within the first 5 minutes—and he has them the entire time. Because of his diverse background—student body president of his college, helicopter pilot in Viet Nam, business owner, and speaker—he has the ability to relate to everyone from a CEO to a 2nd grader.  Mike was the driving force behind the creation of The Alliance for Student Activities, a national organization that supports and advocates for all co-curricular activities.
