The Oregon Association of Student Councils is a non-profit member association, serving middle and high schools throughout the state. We provide leadership development to both students and advisors. Our program is sponsored by the Confederation of Oregon School Administrators (COSA), and we are recognized by the National Association of Student Councils (NASC).

We are governed by an Executive Board comprised of 10 adults and 10 students. Our original constitution was written in 1954, and since that time, OASC has become the premier student leadership organization in Oregon. Each year we serve thousands of students and advisors from member schools across the state. Some of the opportunities for leadership and character development that we offer include:

  • Fall Middle School Regional Workshops
  • Annual Fall Conference for high school leaders and advisors
  • Winter Energizer “mini-camp”
  • Annual Spring Conference for high school and middle level leaders and advisors
  • Summer Leadership Workshop
  • Advisor training at our state events
  • Membership networking opportunities

Each year we present a number of awards to honor our members, including the OASC Advisor of the Year Award (in both high school and middle levels), the Community Leaders of the Year Awards and our Student Council Recognition Program.

Our goal is to have this website be a useful resource for both students and advisors across Oregon. We routinely post the latest information on our upcoming conferences and workshops, and make registration and membership forms available to you here 24 hours a day!

We’re glad you’re here!
