The 6th Annual Adviser Leadership Institute

This institute will provide adult leaders and teachers of leadership an interactive experience to learn new techniques, network with educators from across the state, develop leader- ship lessons, and acquire the tools necessary to be successful in their journey as an adviser and/or teacher of leadership.

July 17-18th, Western Oregon University

Featuring Speaker: John Norlin

john-norlinJohn helps students and educators learn how to become servant leaders. His mission is to spread the word of the power of servant leadership while teaching others how to build influence in the lives of those around them. John has committed his entire time as a student, and now his professional career, toward helping people and schools transform themselves into places that truly care about the well-being of others. As a student at Wenatchee High School, John began to learn first-hand that even a single person being intentional with their actions can create a tidal wave of positive change. Now with his platform as a leadership teacher and ASB advisor at Sumner High School in Sumner, Washington, John’s influence has spread throughout the city, region, and state.
img_6887John is a gifted speaker, who has keynoted for conferences, assemblies, fraternities, camps, teams, and organizations all throughout the state of Washington. Over the last seven years he has spoken to over 18,000 people, and over 30 individual schools, captivating all with his engaging and personal approach. Everyone who hears John Norlin leaves both inspired and challenged, equipped to make a positive difference in their school and place of work. As a result, he is quickly becoming one of the most sought after speakers in the education community in the State of Washington. In addition to his work in schools, John has Keynoted numerous conventions and workshops including the State of Hawaii’s Association of Student Leaders State Conference, the Washington Family and Consumer Science Teachers’ state convention, University of Washington Student Leaders Workshop, and Washington Activity Coordinator Association Conference to name a few.
