Q: Are hotel rooms a separate fee from the conference registration?
A: Yes. The conference registration of $70 only covers the conference, speakers, workshops, bag, and dinner on Sunday night. Hotel and Monday breakfast are on your own (unless you are staying at the Holiday Inn Portland-Airport Hotel where breakfast is included.).
Q: Does the hotel have rooming blocks / special pricing available?
A: Yes. We have arranged rooming blocks and special pricing. On the Spring Conference Page you can find the # to call to reserve your rooms.
Q: Is an adviser required to attend?
A: Yes. We recommend 1 adviser/chaperone for every 10-15 students. Not all chaperones need to be present at the conference and/or register. If you want them on the bus or just for the hotel supervision that’s fine too.
Q: Can my school stay at a different hotel?
A: Yes. Although it is recommend to stay at the conference hotel for convenience, in the instance of unavailable rooms, Embassy Suites is just down the road with a group rate (Only available until April 6th). Also, please remember you will need transportation between your own hotel and the Conference Center.
